New Employees Join Vancouver Office

May 26, 2008

SportsMark’s Vancouver office is pleased to announce the arrival of two new faces:  Dana Grant and Sarah Ayton.

Dana has joined SportsMark as Account Director, Strategic Marketing with a focus on Nortel's Olympic program. She brings more than 10 years of experience in the sports marketing, entertainment marketing, and live marketing industries. Dana is no stranger to the Omnicom/Radiate Family, as she was Director of Client Services at GMR Marketing Canada for the past four years.  Currently residing in Toronto, Dana will relocate to Vancouver at the end of June.

From marketing and communication strategy development to client service to budget management to timeline development, Dana has a wealth of experience in the world of sponsorship activation. Career highlights include: managing Honda Canada's Formula One Canadian Grand Prix sponsorship for the last three years; activating Labatt's sponsorship of the 2000 NHL All-Star Game by creating and managing the Labatt Blue / NHL Pick-up Marathon; producing and managing SK8 with Elvis Stojko presented by Canon, a twelve-city cross-Canada skating tour; and writing the winning bid, on behalf of the Toronto Maple Leafs, to host the 2000 NHL All-Star Game in Toronto. Other notable clients with whom Dana has worked include Bell Canada, Telus, Unilever, Proctor & Gamble and Nike. In 2002, Dana was named one of Marketing Magazine's "30 to Watch".

Sarah joins us as an Account Manager, and will be managing VANOC wine sponsor Vincor.   She formerly worked with PRIME Strategies Inc., a Vancouver-based meeting and incentive planning agency.  Sarah was with PRIME Strategies for six years, and, prior to that, worked at a local catering company. With a wide variety of experience in conference and event planning, Sarah has worked with major pharmaceuticals, the Government of Canada, major telecommunications companies, banking institutions and others to make their meetings and events run seamlessly. A seasoned traveler, Sarah has worked on the planning of events in many locations, including the U.S., Mexico, Scotland, France, Czech Republic, Spain, South Africa, Bahamas, Italy and others. Originally from Montreal, Sarah is fluent in French and studied international relations in her hometown at Concordia University.

Please join us in welcoming these talented women to our team.
